INTERCITY &
LONG DISTANCE
DRIVERS
An empty return leg is the most expensive thing in long distance driving. Somebody in your community is going that way anyway — they just have no way of knowing.
Intercity and long distance drivers lose more money to empty running than to anything else. A one-way job 400 km out is only profitable if something comes back, and the driver who has that return job is usually sitting in a different city, in a different group chat, with no idea. Long routes also carry the industry's real safety risk: remote roads, night driving and drop-offs where nobody is expecting you. DriversClan addresses both.
What Goes Wrong
In These Groups
Empty returns burn the margin
Half the distance driven for zero revenue, because the return job existed and nobody connected the two drivers.
City groups do not talk to each other
The job you need is in a group you are not in, posted by someone you have never met.
Long routes, alone, at night
Remote stretches with no traffic and no phone signal. If something happens, nobody is expecting you anywhere for six hours.
Built for How
Intercity & Long Distance Drivers
Actually Work
- Post the return before you leave. Route, date, direction and vehicle class — a driver heading the other way can pick it up while you are still loading.
- Match by route, not just proximity. Jobs surface for drivers whose direction of travel matches, not just those standing nearby right now.
- Multi-city communities. One community can span several cities, so intercity work is visible on both ends of the route.
- Trip check-ins on long runs. Set a check-in before a long or overnight leg — miss it and your community is alerted with your last known position.
- Advance scheduling. Most long distance work is booked days ahead. Post it early and let members plan around it.
