What we collect, why we collect it, and how to make us delete it. Written to be read, not to be survived.

Last updated: 27 July 2026

The short version We collect the details you type into our forms and anonymous analytics about how the site is used. We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertisers, and you can have it deleted by emailing driversclan@gmail.com.

1. Who we are

DriversClan (“we”, “us”) operates this website and is building the DriversClan platform for driver communities. For data protection purposes we are the data controller for information collected through this site. Contact: driversclan@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Early access form: name, email, country, city, role, community name and community size.
  • Contact form: name, email, country, role and your message.
  • Anything else you choose to send us by email.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics data through Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity: pages viewed, approximate location (country/city level from IP), device and browser type, referring site, and how you interact with pages.
  • Technical data required to serve the site securely through Cloudflare.
  • With your submission we record the page you submitted from, the referring site, your browser language, timezone and any campaign parameters in the URL — so we know which channels reach real driver communities.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and this site is intended for professional drivers and operators.

3. Why we use it

  • To contact you about early access — the reason you filled in the form. Legal basis: consent.
  • To answer your enquiry when you contact us. Legal basis: legitimate interest / steps prior to a contract.
  • To understand what the market needs — which regions, community types and problems come up most. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • To improve the site using aggregate analytics. Legal basis: consent where required.

We will not add you to unrelated marketing, and we will not pass your details to third parties for their own marketing. Ever.

4. Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use it. Clarity may record anonymised session replays — mouse movement, clicks and scrolling — with text input masked.

If you visit from a European timezone you are asked for consent before analytics cookies are set, and nothing non-essential loads until you choose. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser. Elsewhere, analytics runs by default and you can opt out with your browser's Do Not Track setting, an ad blocker, or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

5. Who else touches your data

  • Google — Analytics, and Google Sheets / Apps Script where form submissions are stored.
  • Microsoft — Clarity analytics.
  • Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and security for this site.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms, and may store it outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate transfer safeguards.

6. How long we keep it

Early access details are kept until launch and for up to 24 months afterwards, or until you ask us to delete them. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months. Analytics data follows the providers' standard retention (14 months for GA4, 13 months for Clarity).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and laws such as the CCPA/CPRA in California, PIPEDA in Canada, the Australian Privacy Act and the UAE PDPL — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port the data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email driversclan@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days and will not make you jump through hoops. If you are in the EEA or UK and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection into a Google account protected by two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold as little data as possible — which is the most effective protection available.

9. Changes

If this policy changes we update the date at the top. Material changes affecting people already on the early access list will be sent by email.
